We're seeing database load issues at the default concurrency level, so
need to pick a significantly more conservative default, which we've
rolled out to a number of environments already as an override.
QA'd by adding the following at the top of `newVulnerabilitiesSchedule`
in `cron.go`:
```go
fmt.Printf("%+v\n", config)
```

Video explaining the PR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2hmpE7N-50
This PR includes:
- applying a default/dummy policy to Android enterprise
- Setting up PubSub topic and subscription to point at Fleet Server
- Generating device enrollment token
- Enrolling a device
Although some tests were added, this PR is mostly manually tested.
Integration tests are an outstanding task.

- For database migrations:
- [x] Checked schema for all modified table for columns that will
auto-update timestamps during migration.
- [x] Confirmed that updating the timestamps is acceptable, and will not
cause unwanted side effects.
- [x] Ensured the correct collation is explicitly set for character
columns (`COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci`).

- For Orbit and Fleet Desktop changes:
- [X] Manual QA must be performed in the three main OSs, macOS, Windows
and Linux.
- Tested on macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, Fedora (w/ and without system tray)
and Debian (w/ and without system tray)
## Details
This PR addresses the issue that on Ubuntu, if a user restarts their
display manager (e.g. with `sudo systemctl restart gdm3`), the Fleet
Desktop tray icon disappears and doesn't come back. The solution in this
PR is to add a function that runs in a loop and checks whether the tray
icon still exists, and if not, kills the Fleet Desktop process. The
parent Orbit process already has code to restart the desktop if it dies.
We also update the Orbit checker to run every 15 seconds, to limit the
delay in the icon coming back after a restart.
Also included in this PR is a rename from `desktop_unix.go` to
`desktop_linux.go`, which will be used automatically for linux builds,
and a new `desktop_darwin.go` for macos builds, and the removal of
redundant build directives for all.
For #26190. FMA is included here because the previous implementation was
client-side. QA'd manually. Follow-up PR soon with automated test coverage.

## Side quest while doing feature work - Edit modal and error code was
completely unused
- [x] Manual QA for all new/changed functionality

Changes:
- Updated the query-detail, vital-detail, and policy-detail pages to
have a tab for bash commands.
- Updated queries, vitals, and policies to have a bash command that
returns the same results as the SQL query.
This PR fixes a couple of issues introduced when we started releasing
separate amd64 and arm64 versions of our windows and linux binaries:
* Adds the architecture string to the download url in the fleetctl npm
package
* Updates the goreleaser templates to only add the architecture to
non-macos (i.e. windows and linux) packages
* Updates the script that the website uses to download fleetctl
I did a weak test of the fleetctl npm installer by hardcoding what was
returned for my system type and at least verified that the download url
worked. Doing some more checks on VMs now.
## For #26229 – Part 1

- This PR contains the core abstractions, routes, API updates, and types
for GitOps mode in the UI. Since this work will touch essentially every
part of the Fleet UI, it is ripe for merge conflicts. To mitigate such
conflicts, I'll be merging this work in a number of iterative PRs. ~To
effectively gate any of this work from showing until it is all merged to
`main`, [this commit](feedbb2d4c) hides
the settings section that allows enabling/disabling this setting,
effectively feature flagging the entire thing. In the last of these
iterative PRs, that commit will be reverted to engage the entire
feature. For testing purposes, reviewers can `git revert
feedbb2d4c25ec2e304e1f18d409cee62f6752ed` locally~ The new settings
section for this feature is feature flagged until all PRs are merged -
to show the setting section while testing, run `ALLOW_GITOPS_MODE=true
NODE_ENV=development yarn run webpack --progress --watch` in place of
`make generate-dev`
- Changes file will be added and feature flag removed in the last PR
- [x] Settings page with routing, form, API integration (hidden until
last PR)
- [x] Activities
- [x] Navbar indicator
- Apply GOM conditional UI to:
- [x] Manage enroll secret modal: .5
- Controls >
- [x] Scripts:
- Setup experience >
- [x] Install software > Select software modal
- [x] OS Settings >
- [x] Custom settings
- [x] Disk encryption
- [x] OS Updates
2/18/25, added to this PR:
- [x] Controls > Setup experience > Run script
- [x] Software >
- [x] Manage automations modal
- [x] Add software >
- [x] App Store (VPP)
- [x] Custom package
- [x] Queries

adds a "learn more" link on the cert/key pair error when turning on
windows.

This also updates the CustomLink to add new variant for when we want to
display this in a flash message

- @noahtalerman: I'm using a test Windows computer to write a guide
about disk encryption keys (more info
[here](https://github.com/fleetdm/confidential/issues/9031)). This
Windows computer isn't used for work so we want to add it to our
"Compliance exclusions" team so it doesn't show up in Vanta compliance
reports.
