Update fleetdm/fleetctl, fleetdm/wix and fleetdm/bomutils docker images (#21063)
#20571

## Summary of changes

We have a few moving parts in fleetctl land (`fleetdm/wix` is used to
build `msi`s and `fleetdm/bomutils` is used to build `pkg`s, and
`fleetdm/fleetctl` can be used to build packages using docker, no need
for fleetctl executable):
```mermaid
graph LR
fleetctl_exec[fleetctl<br>executable];
wix_image[fleetdm/wix<br>docker image];
bomutils_image[fleetdm/bomutils<br>docker image];
fleetctl_image[fleetdm/fleetctl<br>docker image];
fleetctl_exec -- uses --> wix_image;
fleetctl_image -- COPY dependencies<br>FROM --> wix_image;
fleetctl_exec -- uses --> bomutils_image;
fleetctl_image -- COPY dependencies<br>FROM --> bomutils_image;
```
So, we'll need to update the three images: `fleetdm/bomutils`,
`fleetdm/wix` & `fleetdm/fleetctl`.

- `tools/bomutils-docker/Dockerfile`, `tools/wix-docker/Dockerfile` and
`tools/fleetctl-docker/Dockerfile`: Updating the base image to fix the
CRITICAL vulnerabilities.
- Modified existing+unused
`.github/workflows/build-and-check-fleetctl-docker-and-deps.yml` to run
every day to check for CRITICAL vulnerabilities in `fleetdm/wix`,
`fleetdm/bomutils` and `fleetdm/fleetctl`.
- `.github/workflows/goreleaser-fleetctl-docker-deps.yaml`:
`fleetdm/bomutils` and `fleetdm/wix` were pushed manually a few years
ago (most likely by Zach), so I've added a new action to release them
when we have changes to release (like now). It will basically release
`fleetctl/bomutils` and `fleetdm/wix` when pushing a tag of the form
`fleetctl-docker-deps-*` (we'll need to protect such tag prefix).
- Changes in `.github/workflows/test-native-tooling-packaging.yml` to
build `fleetdm/bomutils` and `fleetdm/wix` for `fleetdm/fleetctl` to use
them instead of the ones in docker hub.

Fix calendar duplicated events and other issues (#20443)
#19352
Includes the following changes:
- Re-enable calendar callback
- Introduced a new Redis key that indicates event was updated by
calendar callback. In that case, we ignore subsequent callbacks for 10
seconds.
- This reduces the amount of Google API calls, including handling of the
unneeded callback generated by our own event change.
- Read event from DB after acquiring lock. This is critical since we get
the updated ETag of the Google Calendar event from our DB. Using the
previous ETag when fetching event sometimes returns stale data,
resulting in duplicate events.
- Fixed bug in getCalendarLock where calendar cron would always think it
got the lock
- Do not refetch timezone during calendar callback to reduce Google API
load
- Watch for calendar event changes for 1 week after event end (to
account for user moving event into the future)
- #20442: Speculative improvement for Google callback latency by keeping
the same notification channel (callback URL).
- processCalendarAsync now takes at least 1 sec to process all events,
to reduce CPU/Redis load
- Increased lock expiration time from 1 minute to 20 minutes to account
for potential Google API retries, fixing occasional duplicate events.
- Added `get-events.go` helper script that gets maintenance events from
user calendars, and checks for duplicates

Check for calendar updates after callbacks from Google (#20156)
#19352

Video explaining code changes:

In maintenance windows using Google Calendar, calendar event is now
recreated within 30 seconds if deleted or moved to the past.
- Added new endpoint for Google Calendar:
`/api/_version_/fleet/calendar/webhook/{event_uuid}`
- Added UUID to `calendar_events` table to make webhook lookup more
efficient
- webhook endpoint will only recreate event if needed -- it will not
fire webhook. Webhook is still done by the cron job.

Support for Terraforming Fleet Teams (#18750)
This project adds support for terraforming teams in Fleet. If you have
100+ teams, managing them is is prone to error, mistakes, lost
configuration, and general pain. An industry standard tool like
terraform can unify this configuration as code.

In order to do this, I wrote a terraform provider that on one end talks
to the Fleet api, and on the other end implements an interface for
terraform. More information is in the README.

A small sample `main.tf` file is supplied.

19016 ingest certs on start (#19360)
For #19016

This changes all the places where we previously assumed that certs were
hardcoded when the Fleet server started to query the database instead.

The plan is to loadtest afterwards, but as a first preemptive measure,
this adds a caching layer on top the mysql datastore.

update to go1.22.3 + dependencies (#19142)
For #16795, this:

- Updates Go to go1.22.3
- Per
https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/issues/16795#issuecomment-2100450618, I
also ran the following to update the versions requested by @getvictor

```
go get github.com/kataras/golog@v0.1.12
go get github.com/kataras/iris/v12@v12.2.11
go get github.com/sethvargo/go-password@v0.3.0
```

**Notes**

After this is merged people will need to update their Go version. I use
gvm and I did it like:

```
$ gvm install go1.22.3
$ gvm use go1.22.3 --default
```

**Relevant changes**

The release notes mention:

> Previously, the variables declared by a “for” loop were created once
> and updated by each iteration. In Go 1.22, each iteration of the loop
> creates new variables, to avoid accidental sharing bugs.

However, we already have a lint rule (see
https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/pull/13877) for this scenario, so it
shouldn't affect us.

Support Ubuntu 24.04 with Xorg (by detecting user's DISPLAY environment variable) (#18996)
#18925 (Should also fix #17660.)

Tests:
- Ubuntu 22.04.2
	- Wayland
		- Works with chrome
		- Doesn't work with Firefox.
	- Xorg
		- Works with Chrome.
		- Works with Firefox.
- Ubuntu 24.04
	- Wayland
		- Doesn't work with Chrome.
		- Doesn't work with Firefox.
- Xorg (when using Xorg it defaults to `DISPLAY=:1`, and with the
changes in this PR it works):
		- Works with Chrome.
		- Works with Firefox.
---

How to change between Wayland and Xorg:

- Set `WaylandEnable=false` in `/etc/gdm3/custom.conf` and reboot.

---

How to determine what's running:
```sh
$ loginctl
SESSION  UID USER SEAT  TTY
      2 1000 luk  seat0 tty2
     c2 1000 luk
$ loginctl show-session 2 -p Type
# will output
Type=wayland
or
Type=x11
```

Updating user now updates activity feed. (#18962)
#18766
Fixed a bug where updating user via `/api/v1/fleet/users/:id` endpoint
sometimes did not update the activity feed and returned the un-updated
user object.

You must use a DB configuration with a replica to reproduce the issue.

GitOps remove teams (#18640)
#16677

Improvements to `fleetctl gitops` command:
- Added the ability to pass multiple files, like `fleetctl gitops -f
file1 -f file2`, where the first file must be the global configuration
- Added the ability to remove teams that were not specified in team
configs using the switch `--delete-other-teams`
- When passing a global config and team config during initial
configuration, the `org_settings.mdm.apple_bm_default_team` value can be
set to match the team that will be created by the provided team config.

After these changes are released to prod, we can update
https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet-gitops to use the new switches: #18692

AI-generated calendar backend changes (#18571)
#18464

Added `/fleet/autofill/policy` endpoint to get autogenerated policy
description and resolution for a given SQL query.

Added `server_settings.ai_features_disabled` setting to disable the
above endpoint.

For Google calendar integration,
- changed the event title to: "💻 🚫 Scheduled maintenance"
- updated event description to include policy description and resolution
if only one policy is failing

Orbit to detect 5XX alongside network errors (#17084)
#16423, #16326

On the [original PR](https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/pull/16968) we
missed detecting 5XX errors. Fleet usually runs behind load balancers,
so when bringing Fleet down, orbit connects successfully but gets 5XX
errors, so we need to detect those too.

[On-call improve docs] Versions of currently released fleetd components on Fleet's TUF (#16698)
Should tackle #14026.

This will run a daily Github action and create a PR if there's a new
update in our TUF on `edge` or `stable`.

E.g. somebody releases 1.22.0 fleetd to `stable` on our TUF and the next
day this automation runs and will create a PR that updates the versions
in `orbit/TUF.md` (or they can run the workflow manually).

Am happy to amend the shape of `orbit/TUF.md` (or we can iterate later).

SSL certificates have a maximum lifetime of 398 days right now (13

It appears the CA certificate can have a longer lifetime, but the SSL
certificates it issues must have a limited lifetime.

use the configured EntityID for audience validation on MDM SSO (#16144)
for #16139 this fixes a copy/paste error that caused the MDM SSO flow to
validate audiences using the global config EntityID

since we also consider an audience valid if you set EntityID to be:

- your Fleet URL or the full path to the SSO API endpoint (QA)

Enroll secret in macOS keychain and Windows Credential Manager (#16068)
#13832

For macOS hosts, fleetd now stores and retrieves enroll secret from
macOS keychain.
- this feature must use the official signed and notarized version of
fleetd
- for contributors, this feature can disabled with either:
  - fleetctl package flag: --disable-keystore
  - fleetd runtime flag: --disable-keystore

This feature does not cover the MDM usecase where enroll secret is
stored in the MDM profile. This usecase will hopefully be worked on next
sprint with the MDM team.

For Windows hosts, fleetd now stores and retrieves enroll secret from
Windows Credential Manager.

lock in macOS version for Fleet Desktop workers (#16009)
Implementing a safety measure to prevent issues like #15910 in

Setting the macOS version explicitly avoids unexpected changes in the

compatible.

As of this commit, 'macos-latest' refers to 'macos-12'. We're aligning
the worker to this version, although building on macOS 13.x (presently
in GitHub workers' beta) should also be viable.

upgrade Go version to 1.21.1 (#13877)
For #13715, this:

- Upgrades the Go version to `1.21.1`, infrastructure changes are
addressed separately at https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/pull/13878
- Upgrades the linter version, as the current version doesn't work well
after the Go upgrade
- Fixes new linting errors (we now get errors for memory aliasing in
loops! 🎉 )

After this is merged people will need to:

1. Update their Go version. I use `gvm` and I did it like:

```
$ gvm install go1.21.1
$ gvm use go1.21.1 --default
```

2. Update the local version of `golangci-lint`:

```
$ go install github.com/golangci/golangci-lint/cmd/golangci-lint@v1.54.2
```

3. (optional) depending on your setup, you might need to re-install some
packages, for example:

```
# goimports to automatically import libraries
$  go install golang.org/x/tools/cmd/goimports@latest
# gopls for the language server
$ go install golang.org/x/tools/gopls@latest
# etc...
```

macOS CIS: Use find command (exposed as fleetd table) instead of relying on the osquery core file table (#12560)
#10292, #12554

When scanning tens of thousands of files for permissions, using the
`find` command exposed as a fleetd table is more performant than trying
to use the `file` table. This change caused the watchdog to *stop*
killing osquery because of exceeding memory or CPU limit.
