<p>Podman Desktop creates a <a href="https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/about#what-is-wsl-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Windows Subsystem for Linux version 2 (WSL 2)</a> virtual machine: the Podman Machine.</p>
