c9d90786d0 fix(upgrade): Address Trusted Types violations in @angular/upgrade (#57454)
Angular applications that are AngularJS hybrids are currently unable to
adopt Trusted Types due to violations eminating from an innerHTML
assignment in the @angular/upgrade package. This commit allows
developers of such applications to optionally ignore this class of
violations by configuring the Trusted Types header to allow the new
angular#unsafe-upgrade policy.

Note that the policy is explicitly labeled as unsafe as it does not in
any way mitigate the security risk of using AngularJS in an Angular
application, but does unblock Trusted Types adoption enabling XSS
protection for other parts of the application.

The implementation follows the approach taken in @angular/core;
see packages/core/src/util/security.

f67d2cabaf fix(compiler): inputs/outputs incorrectly parsed in jit mode (#46813)
The `Directive` and `Component` decorators support `inputs` and `outputs` fields which accept an array in the format of `"someInput"` or `"someInput: someAlias"`, however the parsing during JIT compilation was splitting on commas, not on colons, which resulted in incorrect parsing. E.g. `inputs: ["someInput: someAlias"]` was being parsed into `{"someInput: someAlias": "someInput: someAlias"}` instead of `{someInput: "someAlias"}`.

The feature was working by accident, because there's some logic further down in the compiler pipeline that was splitting the strings again.

Fixes a couple of tests that have been flaking our test runs. The two tests actually failed consistently when run in isolation, but they passed if at least one test ran before them. b4b21bdff4 fix(upgrade): fix HMR for hybrid applications (#40045)
Previously, trying to apply a change via Hot Module Replacement (HMR) in
a hybrid app would result in an error. This was caused by not having the
AngularJS app destroyed and thus trying to bootstrap an AngularJS app on
the same element twice.

This commit fixes HMR for hybrid apps by ensuring the AngularJS app is
destroyed when the Angular `PlatformRef` is [destroyed][1] in the
[`module.hot.dispose()` callback][2].

NOTE:
For "ngUpgradeLite" apps (i.e. those using `downgradeModule()`), HMR
will only work if the downgraded module has been bootstrapped and there
is at least one Angular component present on the page. The is due to a
combination of two facts:
- The logic for setting up the listener that destroys the AngularJS app
depends on the downgraded module's `NgModuleRef`, which is only
available after the module has been bootstrapped.
- The [HMR dispose logic][3] depends on having an Angular element
(identified by the auto-geenrated `ng-version` attribute) present in
the DOM in order to retrieve the Angular `PlatformRef`.

6dc43a475b fix(upgrade): avoid memory leak when removing downgraded components (#39965)
Previously, due to the way the AngularJS and Angular clean-up processes
interfere with each other when removing an AngularJS element that
contains a downgraded Angular component, the data associated with the
host element of the downgraded component was not removed. This data was
kept in an internal AngularJS cache, which prevented the element and
component instance from being garbage-collected, leading to memory
leaks.

This commit fixes this by ensuring the element data is explicitly
removed when cleaning up a downgraded component.

NOTE:
This is essentially the equivalent of #26209 but for downgraded (instead
of upgraded) components.

2236ea4359 test(upgrade): rename angular.module() to angular.module_() (#30126)
With #30058, the ngUpgrade internal `angular.module()` method was
renamed to `angular.module_()` (to avoid a webpack bug).

Merging #29794 afterwards resulted in some broken tests, because it

tested on CI against a revision that did not contain the rename.)

This commit fixes the broken tests by renaming the remaining occurrences

0ddf2e7a5b fix(upgrade): do not break if onMicrotaskEmpty emits while a $digest is in progress (#29794)
Previously, under certain circumstances, `NgZone#onMicrotaskEmpty` could
emit while a `$digest` was in progress, thus triggering another
`$digest`, which in turn would throw a `$digest already in progress`
error. Furthermore, throwing an error from inside the `onMicrotaskEmpty`
subscription would result in unsubscribing and stop triggering further
`$digest`s, when `onMicrotaskEmpty` emitted.

Usually, emitting while a `$digest` was already in progress was a result
of unintentionally running some part of AngularJS outside the Angular
zone, but there are valid (if rare) usecases where this can happen
(see #24680 for details).

This commit addresses the issue as follows:
- If a `$digest` is in progress when `onMicrotaskEmpty` emits, do not
trigger another `$digest` (to avoid the error). `$evalAsync()` is used
instead, to ensure that the bindings are evaluated at least once more.
- Since there is still a high probability that the situation is a result
of programming error (i.e. some AngularJS part running outside the
Angular Zone), a warning will be logged, but only if the app is in
  [dev mode][1].

9f54d76ef5 refactor(upgrade): use Bazel packages to avoid symlinks in the source (#29466)
Previously we had to share code between upgrade/dynamic and upgrade/static
by symlinking the `src` folder, which allowed both packages to access
the upgrade/common files.

These symlinks are always problematic on Windows, where we had to run
a script to re-link them, and restore them.

This change uses Bazel packages to share the `upgrade/common` code,
which avoids the need for symlinking the `src` folder.

Also, the Windows specific scripts that fixup the symlinks have also
been removed as there is no more need for them.

c986d3dcf4 fix(upgrade): upgrade Directive facade should not return different instance from constructor (#27660)
In ngUpgrade (dynamic) we create a dynamic Angular `Directive` that wraps AngularJS components
that are being upgraded. The constructor of this `Directive` class returns a different instance
than `this`. It is this instance that actually contains the life-cycle hook handlers.

This would break in ivy, since the methods on the prototype of the original class are wired up,
rather than the instance methods. This results in hooks like `ngOnInit` not being called.

This commit refactors the code to extend the inner class that was being returned so that the
prototype chain is correct for both ViewEngine and ivy.

This change resolves a number of failing ivy tests, but also exposes other failures that were
masked by this issue. The tests have been updated accordingly.

a4462c24fa fix(upgrade): don't rely upon the runtime to resolve forward refs (#27132)
The way that `UpgradeAdapter` needs to be setup, you often find that
you must pass a `forwardRef` for an `NgModule.import`. Pre-ivy, this
gets resolved at runtime, but until this is implemented in ivy, we can
workaround it by resolving it in the `UpgradeAdapter` upfront.

This should be backward-compatible since by the time we actually
create the dynamic `NgModule` that has the import, the imported
class should be defined.
