648bbb097e fix(core): properly recognize failed fetch responses when loading external resources in JIT (#62992)
Currently when loading external resources in JIT, when `fetch` fails,
the `text` is empty and the component is loading. This hides the actual
underlying fetch error. We should properly detect this and error out.

d00b3fed58 feat(router): add a currentNavigation signal to the Router service. (#62971)

DEPRECATED: The Router.getCurrentNavigation method is deprecated. Use the Router.currentNavigation signal instead.

857675fedb refactor(core): this delays removal of stylesheets when the element registry is present (#62943)
When animate.leave is used, stylesheet pruning causes issues. Stylesheets with the appropriate animations get pruned before the animations can run. This will delay the removal in the case that the registry is present.

Add client notification when an app version fails, improving error

- Improve service worker error transparency for better debugging

cec91c0035 feat(core): add option to infer the tag names of components in tests (#62283)
Currently when testing a component using `TestBed.createComponent`, we always create the component as a `div` which isn't aligned with the runtime. The runtime tries to parse out the tag name from the first selector in `@Component` and only falls back to `div` if there isn't one. This behavior difference can cause components to not behave like they would in production which reduces the usefulness of the tests.

These changes add the `inferTagName` option to `TestBed.createComponent` and `TestBed.configureTestingModule` that allows apps to opt into inferring the tag name from the selector in the same way as the runtime. Currently the new option is set to `false`, but we intend to change it to `true` in a future version.

737b35b684 feat(core): Add destroyed property to EnvironmentInjector (#61951)
Similar to `DestroyRef`, this adds the `destroyed` property to

callbacks.

7600bec71d fix(router): handle scrollRestoration error in restricted environments (#62186)
In this commit, setting `window.history.scrollRestoration` is wrapped in a try-catch block to prevent `SecurityError` exceptions in restricted contexts such as:

- sandboxed iframes
- partially navigated or inactive windows
- test runners, extensions, or content previews

If an error occurs, a runtime warning with error code [2400] is logged to the console. This avoids breaking app initialization and improves cross-browser safety.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to perform any end-to-end testing of this fix.

2e0c98bd3f feat(core): support bindings in TestBed (#62040)
Adds support for passing in `Binding` objects into `TestBed.createComponent`. This makes it easier to test components by avoiding the need to create a wrapper component. Furthermore, it keeps the behavior consistent between tests and the actual app. For example, given a custom checkbox that looks like this:

```typescript
@Component({
  selector: 'my-checkbox',
  template: '...',
  host: {'[class.checked]': 'isChecked()'}
})
export class MyCheckbox {
  isChecked = input(false);
}
```

A test for the `isChecked` input would look something like this:

```typescript
it('should toggle the checked class', () => {
  @Component({
    imports: [MyCheckbox],
    template: '<my-checkbox [isChecked]="isChecked"/>',
  })
  class Wrapper {
    isChecked = false;
  }
  const fixture = TestBed.createComponent(Wrapper);
  const checkbox = fixture.nativeElement.querySelector('my-checkbox');
  fixture.detectChanges();
  expect(checkbox.classList).not.toContain('checked');
  fixture.componentInstance.isChecked = true;
  fixture.detectChanges();
  expect(checkbox.classList).toContain('checked');
});
```

Whereas with the new API, the test would look like this:

```typescript
it('should toggle the checked class', () => {
  const isChecked = signal(false);
  const fixture = TestBed.createComponent(MyCheckbox, {
    bindings: [inputBinding('isChecked', isChecked)]
  });
  const checkbox = fixture.nativeElement.querySelector('my-checkbox');
  fixture.detectChanges();
  expect(checkbox.classList).not.toContain('checked');
  isChecked.set(true);
  fixture.detectChanges();
  expect(checkbox.classList).toContain('checked');
});
```

6e1df54799 feat(service-worker): support push subscription changes (#61856)
In this commit, support for `pushsubscriptionchange` events has been added to the service worker Driver.

When the push subscription changes, the Driver now captures the event and broadcasts a `PUSH_SUBSCRIPTION_CHANGE` message to clients. This ensures the application is aware of push events and can react accordingly.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to perform any end-to-end testing of this feature.

The push subscription change event exists in both Blink and Gecko. It is also supported in the latest version of Chrome, which means we can give users the ability to react to this event in order to gather feedback on whether other components might need updates.

In this commit, support for `notificationclose` events has been added to the service worker Driver.

a70f03a9b4 fix(compiler): move defer trigger assertions out of parser (#61747)
When defer blocks have a reference-based trigger without a parameter, we infer it from the placeholder block. This requires some validations like ensuring that there's only one element in the placeholder. The validations are currently implemented at the parser level which can affect tools like linters that need to pass `preserveWhitespaces: true` in order to get accurate source mappings.

These changes move the validations into the template type checker so that they still get flagged, but much later in the process. Moving them over involves a bit more work, because the template type checker also sets `preserveWhitespaces: true`.
